André Peers

André has over 25 years of mining finance experience having worked on project, acquisition and corporate facilities involving various sponsor sizes. Prior to entering the financial sector, André worked in industry as a geologist on various mines in South Africa. André has held senior director positions at Standard Bank in South Africa, ICBC Standard Bank in London and Societe Generale in London. Most recently André has worked as an independent debt adviser for clients raising debt finance for mining projects in the junior mining sector. Whilst the majority of his career has been on the lending side, André has also worked in the credit, commodities trading and commodities structuring teams as well as the advisory side and brings the full suite of expertise required for a mining finance transaction.André holds a B.Sc.(Hons) Geology degree from the University of Cape Town and an M.Sc. (Eng) Mining degree from the University of the Witwatersrand focused on mineral economics.
